How to find good boarding for your dog.

Holidays are a difficult time for you and your dog.  The anguish of one finding a good place or pet sitter puts a lot of pressure on a fur parent.  There are several things you can do to make this easier on you and your dog.

DO NOT LEAVE IT TILL TWO DAYS BEFORE A MAJOR HOLIDAY!

The above is shouted at all who are reading because it is so important.  It is hard to understand why if you know you are planning a trip and there are so few good boarding places available that you would set yourself up for failure.

If it is a good boarding facilitate, they will be fully booked weeks prior to a holiday.  Do not be surprised if they do not return your phone call or that you will constantly here phone messages stating they cannot take bookings until after the holidays.

If you own a dog the time to look for professional caregivers is day one!

It is not just the holidays it is the lifetime of your dog. With weddings, funerals, hospitalization and life's emergencies you are going to need to leave your dog with someone.  So please prepare now.
