What has your dog taught you?

A person can learn a lot from a dog, even a loopy one like ours. Marley taught me about living each day with unbridled exuberance and joy, about seizing the moment and following your heart. He taught me to appreciate the simple things - a walk in the woods, a fresh snowfall, a nap in a shaft of winter sunlight. And as he grew old and achy, he taught me about optimism in the face of adversity. Mostly, he taught me about friendship and selflessness and, above all else, unwavering loyalty.

My dog has taught me so many things and they are all good!

I am never alone.

Eat, sleep and poop!

Keep your eyes forward and be alert!

You can always find a tasty morsel.

All you need is love!

Feel free to ad your comments on lessons you have learned from your pooch.

  1. First of all, Happy SITS Saturday sharefest!

Cute blog. I have the most adorable 4 year old Brittany Spaniel named Hunter. He is really mellow and calm. He sleeps A LOT! (And we have a housefull of kids- he's really protective and gentle, but won't play.) He loves to run though.

Last night, i was feeling sick, so I lay down on my bed, and Hunter came and lay next to me on the bed. He was so warm. Dogs are heaven.

  2. Oh the lessons my dogs have taught me. My last post was about how smart they are. I've also learned about unconditional love. Cuddling a puppy can make the darkest day brighter.

    Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!

  3. It always amazes me how dogs pick up on our moods, they know when we are sad or sick and offer us great comfort. There is nothing better than curl up with your furbaby when you are not feeling good.
